Demján Sándor Program: 400 more SMEs to receive support from 130 billion forints budget

The Ministry of National Economy has decided to support 400 more domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises within the framework of the Demján Sándor 1+1 SME Investment Stimulation Support Program. The program’s budget has been increased from 48 billion forints to 130 billion forints, so a total of 852 enterprises can receive development funds.

In the current decision round, 29.1 billion forints of non-refundable support were awarded, which almost doubled the number of supported enterprises, to 852. The total support allocated now reaches 73.5 billion forints. 297 micro and small enterprises and 103 medium-sized enterprises will receive support. The average support amount in the micro and small enterprise circle was 60.5 million forints, and in the case of medium-sized enterprises it was 108.5 million forints.

The most successful applications came from the construction industry and the metal processing industry, with 36 companies from each sector receiving support. 84 percent of the supported companies are implementing their developments in the four least developed regions (Southern Great Plain, Southern Transdanubia, Northern Great Plain, Northern Hungary).
