Hungary, together with the Jülich Supercomputing Center, is submitting an application for the EU’s AI Factory Antenna program. The three-year, 10 million euro project aims to support artificial intelligence-based research and AI developments initiated by SMEs.
According to the announcement by the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network, the project will provide Hungarian researchers and businesses with access to one of Europe’s largest supercomputers. The program is particularly important for domestic SMEs, as it provides them with the opportunity to develop and apply cutting-edge AI technologies.
The project fits into the government’s digitalization strategy and contributes to Hungary becoming a key player in the European AI ecosystem. The supercomputer capacity will not only support research projects, but also significantly increase the innovation capabilities of Hungarian businesses.
